Greetings ,
I'm always thrilled as the sun moves towards its zenith at the summer solstice. Longer days offer a sense of spaciousness and possibility.
When the sun shines right into my eyes early in the morning, I do the ancient Andean practice of "Swallowing the Sun." I've shared it with you before, and it's in Weave the Heart of the Universe into Your Life (p.144). I offer it again to remind you how easy it is to take in light and then shine it into the world.
Draw in the light and power of the sun as a
reminder that you are a being of light: Facing the sun, tip your head back and open your mouth so the sun hits the roof of your mouth. Swallow the sunlight four times, feeling and seeing the light and heat spreading through your whole torso and into all of your
cells. Consciously carry the light with you all day, shining it out from your heart!
Goddess knows we need all the light we can get to survive all the enmity, fear, and abuse rampant in the world.
Ceremony is also way to move and shift the energy of the world. If you're in the Bay area, join us
