Greetings , Please forgive my months of silence. Two endeavors have taken over my life! The first is rather mundane. After ten years of Chairing the Sonoma Mountain Preservation Board, I stepped down last winter. And it's taken these many months to wind down, pass on my knowledge and responsibilities, and let go. The second is rather magical! With free time for the first time in ten years (see above), I took a memoir class to learn to write stories better. Then I began reflecting on my very mystical path—how did that happen? In order to write about your past, you have to understand it. So I've been immersed, and loathe to distract my focus. Thus, no newsletters for a while. When I decide what to write about, I look at what I'm seeing in clients and friends and conversation. Fear won the award. It is rampant in the world. With that fear comes anxiety, despair, and endless dense energies that disempower us. But it doesn't have to be that way! By finding heart, shifting your energy, and nurturing your connections, you can take back your power. Here are some potent ways to do that: - Let me take you on a guided drum journey to meet the spirit
of your heart. You get to ask this spirit a question—advice on some issue that holds you back, the next steps to take in your healing journey, whatever is your big question right now. And you'll learn 3 key tools for leading with heart and transforming density, separation, and tension into courage and joy.
- Explore an easy practice for letting go, or discover the keys to embodying your power.

Shamanism is all about connection. Elder Atarangi Muru, Maori, tells us "the human body and its healing are not separate from waters, mountains, sea, sky, wind, trees, insects, birth, or death." Regarding trauma, she
says: "I do not see it in the physical body, yet I smell that it is there. If anger, sadness, depression, or anxiety, is a trauma, then I smell that, taste it, sense it, feel it. The body does not know how to lie, it is talking all the time. One of the main teachings of our elders is that the person we are working on is the greatest healer in their life, it is not us doing the healing work." What are
you healing? What would most nourish you? Let me know! And have a blessed Summer Solstice!
