Being together in ceremony, in a beautiful place, feeds our connectedness. It lets us focus on our intent, use our imaginations, and be creative.
It lets us nurture our souls and spirits.
The six beautiful souls who joined me for the first Leading with Heart
Workshop got to spend two days in ceremony and practice together. More opportunities are in the works: July 1 to Aug 12 weekly, live online, and Sept 10-11 in person in my Medicine Wheel in Sonoma.
At summer solstice I'm thrilled to be offering my first despacho ceremony in over three years! We'll be
creating an Earth-Star Despacho on Mt. Tamalpais, to align ourselves and call the star beings down to help us in these troubled times. This is a beautiful Andean ceremony where everyone participates. June 19.
Shamanic, animist, and pagan ceremonies always call in the elements and directions, along with the spirits,
to create sacred space and help in the proceedings. But how are elements and directions entwined? How do you know what to visualize? Why do cultural interpretations—especially of the directions—vary so much? A lot of research helped me to see that culturally there's no one answer, no one "right" way. It works best to choose associations that you've learned from a particular tradition, or that feel right to you. I've finally written a
blog—Making Friends with the Elements—for when you're not sure. It will help you ground your own visualizations of the
elements.

Join us for a beautiful Star Despacho ceremony of love and reciprocity on sacred Mt. Tamalpais (N. of San Francisco). It will be a magical day of shifting energy and focusing our shared intent with other lovers of Earth and Cosmos. Join us June 19 Saturday, 10:30-2.
We'll meet at Rock Springs parking lot and hike less than 1/2 mile. Our focus will be on feeding spirit, hope, and connection: in ourselves, with the earth, and with the star beings and cosmic forces who support us. We're calling on them to help us meet these difficult times with grace and love.
You'll need to register so I can send directions & instructions about what to bring. Half of the donation goes to mountain non-profits. No one turned away; email me if the donation is too much.
Making Friends with the Elements
Students and clients often ask how to know what the elements represent and how to engage with them directly. So I've written this blog to guide you in visualizing the correspondences between the spirits of East and Air, South and Fire, West and Water, North and Earth, and Center with the Ancestors and Descendants.
Intentionally engaging and working with the elements helps you feel grounded, connected, and part of the world around you. Doing it daily, you can rebuild your
connections and your spirit.
I share the correspondences I use when I create sacred space, greeting the directions, the elements, and the spirits. They are a place to start if you haven’t developed your own associations.
I look
forward to guiding you with soul and spirit healing, life purpose, and moving away from stress and anxiety. Re-inspire yourself with shamanic and energy healing. Get help with interpreting and integrating your mystical guidance. Find your wholeness.
We can meet in person in my sacred medicine wheel or healing space in Sonoma, or remotely on Zoom.
Hints for dampening your stress on your own: walk, meditate, gift your dense, heavy feelings back to the earth, breathe consciously, connect with a tree, limit your doses of social media. Honor your heart's wisdom.
