When the war on Ukraine began, like most of you I ramped up my light and healing work to help bring balance to that part of the world. One of the sweet spirit-guided actions that emerged was to place cauldrons of love around Ukraine—North, South, East, and West. Every day since, I
have visited those cauldrons to replenish the love and affirm my commitment to peace and compassion. I invite you to do the same if you are so called.
Cauldrons of love can be placed outside the house of a friend whose family is suffering. Or around a community that has gone through fire or tornado, flood or another killing. Anywhere love is needed.
What's unusual and interesting about these cauldrons, in the context of doing healing work, is that they remain available to anyone—refugees, soldiers, grandmothers, the dead, a frightened child—who needs some love and is willing to receive.
They also take away the onus of doing and exhausting yourself due to the magnitude of the need, and focuses instead on offering from your heart. Which is a lot, and all we can do sometimes.
Among healers there is a lot of conversation about doing—taking concrete action, like a peace march—and being—light, love, compassion, caring—and so on. As my long-time teacher Sandra Ingerman says, we need to become who and what we want to see in the world: our internal shifts
affect the whole.
No matter how strong your spiritual practice is, it's an ongoing challenge to maintain resilience and brightness in these times. The news throws us all—even the most spiritual, most realized, most compassionate people—off-center. You are not alone. And you'll survive better if you gather with others for
mutual support and caring.
Let me know your own stories of healing focus. And thank you for all you are doing. As we know, it takes a village to raise a child, and certainly takes a village to change the world!
And do consider joining the in-person or live, online workshops for Leading with Heart. Our communities and our Earth need this, and so do we.
Open-heartedness changes everything: your ability to shine brightly. Your perception. Your receptivity, resilience, and fluidity. Your ability to sit with loss and
despair. Your ability to lead us into a viable, sustainable future.
